MANDALA MADNESS V4: GRAPHIC DESIGN PROJECT

MANDALA MADNESS VOLUME 4 EVENT: 16 JUNE 2018
This was the forth installment for the event in which was built by Rogue Shinobi Entertainment. This project is to showcase the graphic design as a project for the event and it's overall outcome. That took place in warehouse based bar in Johannesburg in 2018.
Let's start off with the logo and branding:
Here we have the first logo and branding inspired by fractal based designs, with an orange, blue and black color scheme.
Eventually we morphed the banner into a full info-graphic, with all the information that a customer would need.
Our first post on the event page. Explains when details were to be released and when the dates tickets would go on sale.
Eventually from a design aspect, we changed the background to include more black in it as the dark and white contrast was interfering with the text, what is exciting is the mask and saturation adjustments of the central image. PS. we still we're disobeying some graphic design rules in these posts, but these events were about fun more than anything else.
Then something interesting started to happen, we built this central blue icon to garner more attention from party goers.
We built GIFs to attract more customers through moving images. Notice that blue icon is now alive!
It didn't stop there. We diversified the icons, and started to do interesting things with it.
We then built the icon into a screen that displayed new information and info-graphics related to the party.

When it came to counting down the days to the party, the screen started to display pictures of the previous Mandala Madness event in gradual fades.
We even had warm up party, thanks to the Stefan de Beer and Chris Palmer from the Psyclical Crew.
And as winter rolled in the background colors started to change to reflect the atmosphere. Color therapy for events. Even the original logo changed to something more palatable for a designer.
The most important aspect to any event. It's line up.
The final result of all this hard work, a fully fledged warehouse experience:
It truly was a great experience for all from DJs, to attendees, to the organizers.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:
